I was recently asked by a visitor to my Squidoo Lens for a definition of the term "strategy". Liking, as I do, short, clear and powerful language, here's a one-liner from the seminal work entitled "Strategy", by Montgomery and Porter and published by the Harvard Business Review:
"Strategy is a deliberate search for a plan of action that will develop a business's competitive advantage and compound it."
